Finding A Pro Golf Shirt
Friday, February 12th, 2010
There are many different kinds of golf shirts available to buy and it can become overwhelming trying to choose the right one for you. This article will discuss everything there is to know about golf shirts, including some of the best places to buy them and other golfing apparel from.
So what is classified as a golf shirt these days? Well as we all know, golf is a very traditional sport and there are many different rules that players must follow when it comes to rules on the golf course. One of these rules that finds itself all across the world of golf, it that all players playing golf on a private golf course, must wear a collared shirt. So there’s the first thing you need to know about golf shirts. You have to now make sure that the one you buy has a collar on it.
One of the most popular collared shirts that many players where, are polo shirts. The first brand that comes to most peoples minds when they’re talking about polo shirts is Ralph Lauren. Yes we all know how expensive these shirts can be, however they are easily one of the best quality polo’s on the market today. If you don’t want to spend a great deal of money on a golf shirt, because you aren’t all that serious about your golf, then the are of course a lot of other less expensive brands that sell collared shirts for golf, including Nike, Adidas and many other sporting brands. Basically any golf brand that you can think of usually sells golf shirts and some of them are very affordable.
Do I have to wear a collared shirt in order to play golf? The answer to that question is no, with shades of grey. Most public courses allow people to play golf without a collared shirt, however not all of them. What you might have already noticed is that many public courses are starting to become less and less strict about the type of apparel people are allowed to wear on their course.
Almost every private course that I can think of however requires all players to wear collared shirts when playing on their course. You will find that most private courses are very strict about this as they want to make sure their course follows all the guidelines set by the PGA. This gives their course a sense of professionalism.
Now if you think that later on down the track you might want to join a private course, because you just can’t get enough of this great sport, then go out and buy yourself a few collared golf shirts for your wardrobe. Inevitably it’s going to make you feel like more of a pro and maybe your game might start improving as a result of this!

Mind your Language When Playing Golf! – PART 1
Tuesday, February 9th, 2010
How many times have you heard a particular tune and found yourself humming it the next day? Do you remember how at school you learnt lots of things by hearing or seeing them and then repeating them? How did you learn to walk? Did you see someone else walking and then copy them? If you set out to learn a second language now, today, would you see the words and try to say them, hear the phrases and try to imitate them? How did you learn to play golf? Why do you speak in the accent that you do?
We learn through our senses. We take in information via our senses and then our minds compute that information and make sense of it all. We are, all of us, inherently “suggestible”. We learn through mimicking, copying and suggestion. Things seem to “rub off” onto us.
The ability we human beings have to learn in this way is amazing; it is fantastic…so long as we are mimicking, copying and responding to the right suggestions. If we hear something a few times, whether we like it or not, we will tend to find ourselves repeating it; hence sometimes hearing an “annoying” tune in your head. If we do something several times we tend to keep doing that thing, whether we really consciously want to or not; it becomes a habit, smoking, for example, or buying a snickers bar every time you fill up with gas.
Our minds work by generalizing patterns of thought and behavior over context. For example, as a child you learned to recognize a glass as a glass. And then every time you see any type of glass it is recognizable to you as a glass – it has been generalized in your mind over context. Where the generalization is accurate, this ability we have is supremely beneficial; when it is flawed, it can have an extremely debilitating effect…
How many times have you heard yourself say “I can’t putt”, “I can’t get off the tee”, or some variation of this theme? Is this generalization accurate? The reality of the situation is that on this particular putt, or this particular tee shot, you used your club to hit the ball and the ball went wherever it went. Full stop! That is what happened; nothing more, nothing less. Why should that mean that you CANT putt (ever) or get off the tee (ever)?
The problem here is that you aren’t looking at the reality of the situation, you aren’t focusing on the present, you have switched your awareness into a “generalization” mode, and you are creating a self-fulfilling prophesy. You end up not being able to putt or get off the tee because this is what you have suggested to yourself. In the words of Henry Ford “If you think you can you can; and if you think you can’t you’re right”.
If someone else was as critical about your golf as you are, how would you react? If your “mates” stood there saying “you can’t putt” would you just stand by and take it? Or would you get a bit defensive and feel that the comment was “unfair” or “unnecessary” to say the very least? It pays to remember that we humans respond to suggestions, be it consciously or subconsciously, and that we can choose to accept or to reject those suggestions. Would you be as critical about your playing partner’s swing as you are about your own? Why be so hard on yourself? Why be so very negative and destructive? Why do you actually consciously choose to do something which will destroy your golf game? You know that you are telling yourself you can’t do it, so why not change the language you use?
Why not change the suggestions which you are giving to yourself? You can learn how to change your habitual internal language with the help of hypnosis downloads. Why do you think the professionals use golf hypnosis? They use golf hypnosis because it works; hypnosis downloads can be used to get you to focus, to stay in the now, to see what you really want to see. You can use golf hypnosis downloads to stop generalizing and to enjoy your golf a whole lot more than before.

How to Improve Your Mental Golf Approach Between Shots with Golf Psychology
Saturday, February 6th, 2010
If I were to ask you what you do between shots during a round of golf, you’d probably think I was missing the point. After all, golf psychology and teaching should be all about helping you to hit better shots and putts during a round of golf or in practice, shouldn’t it? This applies whether you’re working with a teaching pro helping you with your golf swing or with a golf psychologist helping to improve your mental approach to golf.
So what do you actually do in the time between assessing and hitting your shots and putts? It really should take a lot less than a minute on average to size up a shot, decide on how to play it, set up to the ball and hit it. I seem to recall from somewhere that the US PGA allows 45 seconds for all this per shot and very few people take that long over a short putt. So all that should add up to a maximum of 54 minutes actually playing golf to go round in 72 strokes and 72 minutes to go round in 90 strokes. If you take just 4 hours to play a round then you’re not actually playing for approximately 3 hours in every 18 holes.
What many people do in this spare 3 hours in every round is to get down on themselves mentally. Just watch how many golfers trudge between shots with their heads down and seemingly just staring at the ground a few feet ahead. Many of them are talking to themselves and often what they’re saying is not usually fit for publication. Thankfully, they normally keep the voice inside their heads, but I’m sure you’ve played the odd round with a playing partner who berates himself loudly during the course of a round – I know I’ve done that in the, hopefully distant, past and I’m not proud of it.
So what’s wrong with keeping your head down between shots? Well just watch how people typically stand when life is on the up. Yes, they stand erect with their head held high. And when they are feeling down, their heads tend to be down. Psychological research also demonstrates that this works the other way too, so if you walk between shots with your head down and your shoulders a bit slumped, you’ll automatically feel down. In the same way, you will feel like things are looking up if you’re walking erect with your head raised high.
Have you ever noticed how depressed people seem to be in many nursing homes and how many of them walk around in a bent over posture? Well I met a husband and wife recently, both doctors, who are incorporating NLP concepts into posture management. They’ve found that they can improve the posture and, more importantly, increase the level of happiness and optimism of patients in nursing homes by simply replacing the lounge chairs with ones that encourage a more upright sitting posture and hanging televisions from the ceilings rather than sitting them on the floor. Those simple changes lead to wholesale improvements in people’s posture, health and happiness.
Next time you play golf; try walking between shots with your back straight and your head held high. You could even use golf hypnosis to help you to remember not to forget to do it when you play. However you’re actually feeling when you start and regardless of any bad shots you hit, I suspect you’ll be amazed at how much better and more positive you’ll feel as the game progresses. It may even have an impact on your enjoyment of this wonderful game of golf and, who knows, you may even score better.

Golf Apparel – It’s All About Good Golf Etiquette
Friday, February 5th, 2010
When playing golf, there are many rules. It isn’t juat a matter of turning up to a golf course, playing a round of golf and then going home. You have to show good golf etiquette to be able to fit in with your surroundings and also to be allowed to play at the golf club.
One of the many rules of etiquette on the links is for each golfer to wear the proper golf apparel. This is one of the most important rules on the golf course. Following a strict dress code on the golf course, is something that most golf clubs and courses, even the public ones, require the golfers to do. Probably the most popular rule is the one of requesting that the golfers wear a collared shirt, although many courses also require long pants to be worn – not jeans of course – and proper golf shoes.
The primary rule of etiquette when actually hitting the links, is to show up on schedule for your tee time. It is important to be considerate of others and for you to not arrive a few minutes before tee off, still wanting to have a few practice swings on the driving range. Give yourself plenty of time, along with practice time, you will also need to find somewhere to park your car, purchase your golf balls, get changed into the correct golf apparel and collect your cart.
Cell-phones are also a big no no. Cell-phones are not part of the correct golf apparel and this should be considered before setting off on the course. They should either be left behind in your car or locker or if absolutely neccessary and needed for emergencies, should be kept in your bag, turned off.
Be sure that, when you are out on the golf course, you have a good understanding of the rules by which the other golfers want to play. Know, in advance, whether they honor the preceding holes score, for insance, by letting the golfer with the best score tee off on the next hole, or do they let whoever is ready to tee off, go first? It is possible, if you aren’t careful, ot offend strangers, if you have decided to join their group when you play, by not playing to their rules.
Along with the plaid pants, sweater vests, flat caps and other stereotypical golf apparel, golfers are also best known for their obsession with silence on the golf course. This does, however, make sense when you are concentrating into putting everything into your swing to hit a tiny ball with a long nearrow stick. Silence is a must!
So, even if you are just playing a round of golf with your friends, make sure to observe the basic rule of keeping quiet during shots and not to stand in the shooters direct line of vision.
Follow the rules, treat others on the course as you would like to be treated and have a great enjoyable game.

A new challenge is required, a new course; a course which will provide new excitement, new challenges. It is the unknown, the challenge of playing a course for the first time and using your knowledge and skills to best play the course which is a huge part of the buzz of playing golf.

Balance and the Golf Swing
Wednesday, December 30th, 2009
When’s the last time you practiced standing on one foot and holding your balance? Probably never. Yet it’s a key ingredient in our daily lives and that includes playing golf.
Balance is one of those things that we pretty much take for granted. Not many of us think about it, nor practice it, even though it can keep us from seriously injuring ourselves and help us perform daily tasks better. How many times have you heard of someone – who was in pretty good shape – fall and break something, and was never really the same again? For this reason alone, balance is gaining more press these days, and should be practiced on a regular basis.
Better balance can also impact your performance on the golf course. Almost every aspect of the game is dependent on the golfer’s ability to maintain good balance while in various positions, and often while explosively swinging a golf club.
Whether it’s the longer yardage shots, off the tee and in the fairway, or those finesse ones from 100 yards in or around the green, body control is a must. Altering the stance to accommodate for the type of shot will help the golfer swing the club smoothly and efficiently, resulting in the desired outcome.
For many this is a tough enough task on level ground, but often times these array of golf shots have to be accomplished from uneven lies such as uphill and downhill, or when the ball’s above or below your feet. This demands even a greater need for swing stability as both ground and gravitational forces impact an additional set of circumstances to the golfer, which he now needs to compensate for.
Throw in a little wind, one foot in the bunker, and/or a little fatigue on the back nine and that changes the affect on the body. That’s the beauty or frustration about golf, you really never have the same shot twice. There’s always something different requiring you to alter something to make the shot, and in every situation, stabilization or balance plays a part.
Age may have something to do with lack of balance, but I’ve seen a lot of young players have trouble with the simplest of balance assessments. Yes, there are physiological changes that occur as we age that will impact balance, but for the most part, we can prevent that from occurring.
Lower body strength, for example, plays a key role in balance. Improving strength and coordination in all three planes of movement, side-to-side, front-to-back, and rotationally, can enhance balance. A good start is with the quadriceps (front thigh), glutes (buttocks), calves, and abductors and adductors (inner and outer thigh). These will also help you better control the lower body during the golf swing .
Practicing balance is also something that you can do to improve balance. Get into your golf stance (as if you were standing at address over the ball, but with your hands folded across your chest instead of out in front of you) and then shift the weight over to one foot while you lift the other foot off the ground. Work up to a solid 10 seconds on each foot without losing your balance. It’ll take time, be patient and it will get better. If you have extreme difficulty with this, you may want to check with your physician, as there are other factors that can influence balance.
Once this is accomplished, to make the exercise more golf specific, as golf is not a static sport, balance on one foot and then slowly rotate your shoulders back and forth as if swinging a golf club. Practice that till you can do 5 to 10 rotations to each side, and with each leg, without losing your balance.
Don’t take balance for granted. Take steps to improve your balance and you’ll improve not only the quality of life, but the quality of your golf game as well.

Favor Ideas for Your Golf Party
Saturday, December 26th, 2009
If most of your friends, acquaintances, and associates love golf, then you may be interested to look at golf party favors for the next time when you will have a gathering for a festive occasion. Golf-lovers will surely love the array of party favors that are designed to cater to their particular taste. In fact, the next festive occasion you have may even be a golf party, in which case, it is even more important for you to know what your selections are.
Party favors that you can give away include personal items such as key chains, pens, or cups. You can also give out favors in the form of cutlery that your golf buddies can use as eating implements. Your invitation, in itself, can also serve as a favor. You can use golf balls to write out your invitation and to also serve as your token of remembrance and thanks to your guests for coming. A sun visor can also be a wonderful favor for your guests.
On the other hand, golf favors are not just confined to those parties which are held as a picnic or as an outing. It can also be used on occasions such as a wedding, for instance. If the couple happens to have golf as a common interest, then guests have to be prepared for the likelihood of receiving a golf related favor. This will be a statement of their common passion for this type of sport which may also even be part of their bond with each other.
Objects that are used for playing golf can be given away as favors. It may also have an added value as some of your guests proceed to use it on the course. A tee matchbook is one of those things as is a ball marker. You can also go ahead and give out golf balls. Golf balls can come in pairs – a ‘he and she’ pairing of golf balls can be ideal for your friends who have partners of their own. You can also add personalized tags to these golf balls. You can also give them out in a variety of colors. Another object that falls under this category is the divot fixer.
You can also add photos to your golf party favors in order to leave a more memorable mark on the occasion. Of course, this may already be on the high end for some people but if you wish, you may find this service offered for an affordable price.
Party favors are not limited to memorabilia. You can also give your guests chocolate golf party favors. You could have chocolate or candy party favors for your guests to enjoy, one which kids will really enjoy.
One idea is to convert it into a charitable party favor. Instead of the usual material favors that you give out to your friends, you can go ahead and donate to a charitable organization. The help itself will be your favor and will go a long way towards helping other people.

Golf Playing Tips Learn How to Play Golf in 5 Easy Ways
Friday, December 18th, 2009
For people who are into playing golf, nothing matters most for them than to have a better score when playing the game. This is because most golfers usually take their gratifications in the scores that they make.
Therefore, for people who want to increase their playing skill, here is a list of some tips that they can use to improve their gaming performance.
1. Pump up before the game starts
Every golfer must first learn the things they have to do before they play the game. The problem with most players is that they tend to think that since golf is not a very strenuous sport like basketball, they don’t have to do some warm up exercises.
This should not be the case because golfers need to warm up and stretch those muscles before they start making double bogeys.
2. Swinging is a perfect exercise
In golf, the most pressured and the most exerted part of the body are the hands. Hence, it is important to exercise them before playing the game.
Swinging can effectively pull out any stressed or rigid muscle in the hand. It’s best to keep on practicing swinging. Experts say that almost 50% of a golfer’s ability is based on swinging.
3. Consider the size of the club
In order to play the best golf game, it is important for a player to choose the right golf club that he or she will use. The first to consider when choosing a golf club is its length. The length should be proportionate and suitable to the player so that he or she will be comfortable when playing.
4. Familiarize the six parts of golf swings
In order to play best in golf, it is important for a player to familiarize himself or herself on the six parts of the golf swing technique. The six parts of the swing are the proper alignment of the golf club; proper setup of the golfer’s posture and position; back swing; take-away; impact; and the follow-through.
5. Know the course
A good golfer should know his or her terrain. Hence, it is important for a golfer to note the so called trouble areas. This is where some imminent problems are present like a sloping part of the fairway or hanging branch of a tree.
These are just some of the basic tips that one could use in playing golf. However, the most important thing a golfer should remember is to keep his or her body healthy before the competition. It’s where they generate their power for that beautiful back swing.

Letting Go of Fear in Golf
Sunday, December 13th, 2009
Golfers experience fear in many different situations, be it when you are standing on the first tee, or holing out on the eighteenth green, or when you are thinking about driving the golf ball inside a line of trees or pitching a ball over water. The golfer’s fears can relate to what other people think, or a lack of belief in your own golfing ability. Some of us find that the putter or the wedge takes on the feel of a snake or an octopus in our hands. Some of us freeze; some sweat and some move more quickly…Some stop playing golf.
Golfing fears range from global to specific. You play golf, or any sport, from the platform of you the person. You play your golf within the constraints of your physical body, your mind and your emotions. Mind works on body and body works on mind. How many times have you thought, or said out loud, “I have a mental block with…”? A negative thought creates a blockage in your physiology – this is FACT. Every thought you have has energy, and the neurotransmitters in your brain take the thought information to every cell in your body.
It has been shown that to repress anger for twenty minutes will suppress your immune system for up to eight hours. EIGHT HOURS. So when you are standing over the golf ball, it is worth remembering that just thinking “I’m going to duff this one” actually has the power to trigger off a PHYSIOLOGICAL response, whereby the neurotransmitters in your brain transport that information to your cells…and you know the outcome. It is inevitable – you have programmed your body to duff that shot. And saying “don’t” doesn’t work either. By this I mean “Don’t duff this one” or “don’t go in the bunker”. In such a case the words are saying “don’t go there” but the emotional energy is going DIRECTLY there.
Where there is a conflict between your will power and your imagination your imagination wins. Your mind is exquisitely talented. You can be standing on the tee with four hundred yards of fairway stretching in front of you, with a bunker that’s just two by two, and actually manage to get the ball into that bunker just by THINKING “don’t go there”. Every thought has energy. The level of energy depends on the emotional value attached to the thought. The more intensely you experience the emotion, the more pronounced the result. Your thoughts create your emotions and direct your actions.
Everything starts with a thought. And you can choose your thoughts, although you may not have realized this. It always amazes me how many people acknowledge that they have a MENTAL block with putting, or chipping or their driver, and yet proceed to tackle the problem from a physical perspective – either buying a new club, consulting a different coach, or just standing hitting ball after ball on the practice range – rather than asking themselves how they could change their thinking. And as Einstein pointed out, if you keep on doing the same things over and over again, you can hardly expect the results to change. The fact is, if you have a mental block all you have to do is to explore your thoughts and choose to change them.
What I suggest to successful golfers, and what works for them, is to develop as many mental skills as you have shots. In your mind now, count the number of clubs in your golf bag and the different types of shot you can hit with each one…just make a quick calculation and you will realize how many mental skills in golf there are that you can choose to learn. As you practice your mental golf skills you get better at them.
If you are building strength in the gym, the number of repetitions and the weights you use will determine the result. If you are learning a new shot in golf the number of times you practice it will determine its effectiveness and consistency. The same applies with the acquisition of mental skills for golf. To go to a hypnotherapist or golf psychologist and then not practice the skills decided upon is like having your golf lesson and never practicing. And I’m sure you have met as many people as me who say “that didn’t work”, when the reality is they didn’t give it a chance to work. The teacher can only ever be as good as the student. The teacher can only guide, the student learns.
So many people simply say “but I can’t do it”, or some equivalent negative. And if you think you can’t, you can’t. You don’t even get past go. But if you are willing to approach the situation from a different perspective…a whole new golf game can emerge for you.
It is well known that children “have minds like sponges”, that they find it easier to learn and that it gets increasingly more difficult to learn as you get older. This is because up until the age of 7, during the imprinting period of development, the subconscious mind is completely open to suggestion. And from then to the age of 12, the modeling period, the conscious mind is forming, and after that the conscious mind filters everything before it is assimilated into the subconscious.
Whatever beliefs you have, they are just beliefs, nothing more. There is no need to be held back by limiting beliefs. You can choose to change beliefs no matter how deep rooted they are. Just as you go for a mechanical lesson from your golf professional, you may need a little help or direction from a golf psychologist, but all beliefs can be changed.
You have a body and a mind that has a similar physiology and neurology as the best golfers in the world. Athletic literature is full of examples of athletes who have excelled because of their internal desire, rather than the physical attributes such as size, strength, power or speed. There are tall golfers and short golfers, male and female golfers, young and old golfers. It is not age or body shape that prescribes ability. It is your MIND that makes the difference. What the mind can perceive, the mind can believe and the mind can achieve.
You have the ability to play golf well. How good you get will depend on what you want to get out of the game. It is your choice – you can be as good as you want to be. The most important thing is to set your own goals, and enjoy your golf – it’s a game and should be fun. Unfortunately many people overlook this fact, and allow worries and fears to get in their way. Fear is something that we learn through experience. Fear of embarrassment and fear of failure result in many adults not even attempting to learn a new task. Returning to the subject of children, we are not born with fear. Think about when a baby learns to walk. How many times does that baby teeter along and then fall, and then try again, and fall over again and try again, until eventually they can walk? If that child was worried about embarrassing him or herself, would they have learnt to walk? A baby will persevere time and time again, and has absolute trust that they will be able to learn that skill – otherwise they would not learn that skill.
The most important factor to grasp here is that what other people think doesn’t matter…but what you think does. What the mind can perceive, the mind can believe and the mind can achieve.

Key To Good Golf
Saturday, December 12th, 2009
Playing good golf is predominantly about having a well planned mental approach to the game. If you lack a good way to control your mental state then you may find it much more difficult to be successful. Quite a few people get dispositional when the round is falling apart. Losing their cool is one of the most common mistakes that that all golfer can make. If you do not stay clam then your golf with be of a lower standard and so will you. There is a considerable amount of different books and audio tapes that can help you establish your golf mentality. It is usually the biggest factor to having a winning round.
The very first thing to thing about when when stepping out onto the golf course is to be as confident as possible. If you are don’t have a lot of faith in yourself as a player then you have a reduced chance of winning the match. Those who are unsure of their own ability usually remember the the things they do badly. Lack of confidence is a huge consideration and can increase your overall net score. For example players with a poor mental approach will think more about the times the play a bad shot than the times they get it right. When people who lack confidence begin their game they are often more uptight than the confident player. The confident player is the golfer who will imagine the good and not the bad when he is golfing. The player who doubts himself only seems the problems ahead. If while you stand on the tee you have doubts about whether you can make the shot then already the shot is more often than not going to be bad. To be a winning golfer you need to think about yourself as a winner even when you are not the winner. This can be pretty challenging but self belief has to come from you. Getting it right is about putting focus on on what you know you have done well and not putting focus on on what you don’t believe you are capable of.
Other important things to read about are patience, enjoying the challenge and overcoming your nerves. Just be sure to remember all the good things that you can do when you are walking up to play the first hole. If you really think about it golf is only a game and you should be able to have a good time whatever the result is. It can be unnerving at times but it can also be great when you do play well . The more you focus on the rounds you have played well the more controlled you will play overall. The more you like playing golf the the lower your score will be, remember that and you will be a much more consistent golfer.

How To Win At Golf
Monday, November 30th, 2009
Shooting a good score when playing golf is predominantly about having a well planned mental attitude to the game. If you can’t establish a good stable attitude when playing the game then you will find it significantly more difficult to be successful. Many players get annoyed when things are going badly in a round. Loss of mental stability is one of the worst errors that anyone who is trying to improve their game can make. If you do not maintain a clam attitude then your results will be poor and so will you. There is a great deal of different books and DVD’s that can aid you in improving your golfing attitude. It is usually the most important factor to having a low scoring round.
The number 1 rule when you are about to play golf is to be faith in your own abilities. If you are not confident then you have a reduced chance of winning the match. Golfers who underestimate themselves often remember the the things they do badly. Lack of confidence is a major factor and can hurt your score a lot. For example players with a poor mental approach will focus more on the times the mess up than the times they play well. When people who lack confidence start their round they are always more unsure than the confident player. The confident player is the player who will focus on the positive aspects when he is out there on the course. The golfer who is under confident dwells on what he doesn’t want to do. If before you play a shot you have doubts about your own ability then already the shot is more often than not going to be bad. To be a successful golfer you need to dwell on yourself as a winner even when it feels like nothing went your way. This can be pretty challenging but a confident approach has to come from within. Coming first is about dwelling on what you know you are capable of doing and not dwelling on what are the negative aspects of your game.
Other important things to dwell on are patience, enjoying the challenge and overcoming your nerves. Just be sure to consider all the good things that you can do when you are about to set foot on the first tee. If you really think about it golf is only a game and you should be able to keep your cool no matter what score you shoot. It can be unnerving at times but it can also be one of the best feelings ever if you play well . The more you consider the times you have played well the more controlled you will play in the long run. The more you get used to playing golf the the lower your score will be, remember that and you will be a much more consistent golfer.
There is a large amount of fantastic golf cart bags in online stores to choose from but finding first rate value can be really difficult. A first rate golf club set can also be really hard to find.

Getting Your Golf Club Repaired
Wednesday, November 25th, 2009
As with most sports, the more you use a piece of equipment, the more wear and tear it will sustain. Since this is the case with golf as well, many players will find that they will eventually need to repair their golf equipment. So, too, will youths that golf. In many instances, youths will need to repair their equipment more than individuals that are older, simply because they may not understand how delicate the instruments are.
Junior golf club repair equipment can help these youths when they run into trouble with their golf clubs. The price of junior golf club repair equipment pieces can vary, but for the most part they are able to save individuals money in the long run, since parents and youths will not have to purchase new golf clubs, since they will just be able to repair some of the damaged items. Some people may be curious about the different types of junior golf club repair equipment pieces and what they can accomplish. Others may wonder how effective junior golf club repair equipment is, and what problems they can fix as compared to which problems will not be resolved with the use of any junior golf club repair equipment.
To learn the answers to the queries, it is very important that we consider the type of equipment that is currently available on the market. Some items are more popular than others and by focusing on the most popular pieces of equipment it is possible to make sure that the instruments that are better known are explored for consumers to consider.
There are many types of cleaners that are available in order to help the owner of the golf clubs keep them free of damaging nicks and scratches, as well as pieces of dirt, dust and grass. Since youths are for the most part inexperienced when it comes to playing golf for their first few times, as sports can take a while to understand completely, there may be a period of time in which the individuals using the junior golf equipment may need to have these types of cleaners on hand to ensure that they take the best care of their equipment possible.
It is important to keep the clubs clean because even the slightest bit of dirt or debris on the end of the golf club can cause the individual to swing off when they are trying to play. There are also of junior golf club repair equipment pieces that will enable an individual to restore the grip on the handle of their golf clubs. This is vital to the game of golf. When a player can not hold their club correctly, they are more likely to have a bad swing. This is just a result of inappropriate conditions in terms of the equipment being used. The positive thing is that there are junior golf club repair equipment pieces that can be easily implemented into fixing the club, and potentially improving the youth’s game, instead of purchasing an entirely new club, which may occur to some individuals that either have children that are interested in golf or who are interested in the game themselves.

Hypnosis in Golf – Part 1
Monday, November 16th, 2009
Golfers of all standards are recognizing that hypnosis does work. There is more to it than the stereotypical stage hypnotist who wears flowing robes, has a goatee and makes usually sensible people cluck like chickens, or do rather more embarrassing deeds whilst under his “spell”.
A lot of people are afraid of hypnosis, but this is usually due to lack of knowledge. They’ve seen a stage show and think “I’m not going there” or “you couldn’t do that to me”. There is a natural fear of losing control, and a secondary fear that maybe you can’t be hypnotized – that it takes a certain type of person to be hypnotized. Everyone can be hypnotized, so long as you want to be. You pass through hypnosis every time you go to sleep and every time you wake up – it’s the dreamlike state between wake and sleep. When you drive home in your car, and ask yourself when you get there “did I check the traffic lights?” you’ve been in a trance – a state of hypnosis. When you stare through the TV and don’t hear your partner speaking, that again demonstrates trance; it is hypnosis.
Hypnosis is natural, normal, and powerful. Think how useful it could be to block out everything except what’s in your spotlight of thought, AT WILL?… Not just when you’re staring through the TV. Wouldn’t that be helpful when you’re teeing off on the 1st or putting for eagle on the 18th?
Hypnosis is a state of relaxation at one with a state of heightened awareness. You’re not asleep, you’re not knocked out and you cannot be made to do something you don’t want to do. You can hear and you can think. Again, wouldn’t it be helpful to be able to have a relaxed awareness on the golf course? To be able to remain calm inside, but totally aware of what is important at the same time, AND be able to block out unnecessary thoughts and distractions? Just one look at Tiger’s facial expressions and you know how he’s feeling and focusing when he is playing golf.
It seems to be that human nature is that if we’re not achieving the results we desire we must be doing something wrong. We look for something that needs to be fixed. In golf this usually means a fine dissection of our grip, stance, alignment, swing path and so on; followed by a rework of the swing (which may take all year to groove). Very few people think that their swing is basically alright, but they need to focus more clearly, relax more, or begin to think straight.
Returning to the “my swing needs to be fixed” culture, ask yourself “why is this the case?” Because most golfers hit several beautiful shots and a few that weren’t as beautiful – and each time it was the same person who swung the club. How can your golf swing need fixing when that swing hits both beautiful and less than beautiful shots? Ask yourself as well whether you can remember a day when you started on the 1st and hit some really nice shots and you felt yourself thinking “Oh, it’s going well today”?…and your confidence grew, and somehow everything came together and you had a great round of golf? Did your swing need fixing then? Is it your swing or your mind that makes the difference in golf?
Why not spend some time focusing upon your mind instead of the mechanics of golf? You can learn how to change your habitual thoughts with the help of hypnosis downloads. Why do you think the professionals use golf hypnosis? They use golf hypnosis because it works; hypnosis downloads can be used to get you to focus, to stay in the now, to visualize a great swing and to see what you really want to see. You can use golf hypnosis downloads to create a great swing which suits you as an individual.

Are You Playing With The Right Golf Clubs?
Thursday, November 5th, 2009
Getting the right golf equipment to play the game of golf can be daunting for someone new to the game because of all the choices. You just need to be pointed in the right direction with a few tips and it’s really pretty easy.
Here are some tips to get your started on buying golf gear:
1. The first thing you must do is determine your budget. How much are you willing to spend on a complete set of golf clubs. When I mean a complete set of golf clubs I’m referring to the irons, woods, putter, and bag. It’s important to set a limit on what you want to spend because a complete set can cost from $150 to over $2000.
2. The next thing you need to determine is how often you’ll be playing golf. If you’re just starting out to see if you like golf then you’ll probably want to get the least expensive set that does the job with no emphasis on brand names. A lot of the sports shops carry complete golf sets and they often have great sales on them. I know Costco even carries a nice set by Jack Nicklaus that’s around $250. This is a great price for a complete set and it can definitely be used for many years.
3. If $200 to $300 is still out of your range then I would look into used or second hand golf sets. Pretty much all golf shops carry second hand golf equipment and you can get some really good deals on them. The majority of the time you’re not going to find a used complete golf set so you’ll have to purchase the irons, woods, putter, and bag separately. Later on if you decide you want to get more serious in golf then you can usually trade your existing clubs in and use the money to purchase a brand new set.
4. Now when it comes to determining one brand from the other it’s really not something a beginner should worry about. Don’t be pressured by a salesman if he’s trying to push a brand name set on you. When you’re just starting out it really doesn’t matter what the brand is. If you’re interested in brand name sets then the salesman should be able to provide you with information describing the difference between the brands.
5. I suggest looking through the Saturday or Sunday newspaper for sporting good ads and look for complete golf sets. Golf specialty stores are also a good place to get pricing on sets. I’d also search the Internet because there are hundreds of golf sites offering complete golf sets. eBay is an excellent place to get golf equipment, which includes complete golf sets. I’ve purchased and sold a lot of golf equipment through eBay and I’ve been very pleased with the quality. Craigslist.org is also another place you can look for used clubs that are local to you.
6. As a last suggestion I’d ask some of your friends if they have any old sets they’d be willing to sell you, which often time they’ll give you an extremely good deal. If they don’t have any then they may have a friend who does so there’s no harm in asking.
Getting the right golf equipment is a very important part of playing golf. More important than most golfers think. So do yourself a favor and spend the time to get yourself fitted with the golf clubs that are right for you.

Power Tips To Improve Your Golf Swing
Thursday, October 29th, 2009
Success at playing golf largely revolves around your golf skills and the most important aspect is your golf swing. The ability to execute a powerful and balanced golf swing is the key to mastering golf. Here are some proven power tips to improve your golf swing.
Power Tip 1
A great golf swing is more than just swinging with your arms. Swing your golf club behind your back while you turn it to your target. It is like taking your club back as you hinge your arm at your shoulder. You could also practice the drill known as no arms.
Power Tip 2
You should not forget to cock your wrists. This might be difficult at first, but it will be natural to you with enough practice and will produce tremendous results.
Power Tip 3
Your left arm should turn clockwise slightly when you start the back swing. It is not really something that you actually should remember. It naturally happens if you would just allow it. This just means that you should not resist this movement that is just natural. You might not notice it, but you might have been resisting this movement because this causes the head of your golf club to go open slightly when you swing it. Just allow it to happen naturally.
Power Tip 4
Always plant your feet firmly on the ground. This technique is also commonly used in baseball. It involves letting your foot heel in front to come above the ground when you swing your golf club back. Some people think that by doing this so, their back swing feels bigger.
It is something that seems lifting the front heel can easily make the body coil and for the tension to build that much harder. Letting the foot roll freely to the inside is fine. However, one should keep that foot on the ground to make golf back swing well-anchored.
Power Tip 5
Work on your bottom golf down swing. Assuming that you accomplish all the drills correctly, from the golf stance, the golf grip you have, and your golf back swing. But you can still ruin everything if you begin the golf swing that you have with the shoulders. You might want to use a swing trigger to begin the golf down swing that you have with the lower part of your body.
Power Tip 6
Another tip on your golf down swing. You should turn the belt buckle to your target. Try turning your hips as powerful and fast as possible when you do your golf down swing, it works.

Golf Discount Store Shopping Makes Good Cents
Sunday, July 5th, 2009
Let’s face it. Playing golf is not one of the most economical sports in the world. Unlike basketball where a single ball is needed for two teams to play and maybe, just maybe, some specialized shoes, a golfer requires a lot more gear to get going and that gear, or at least some of it, will have to be replaced from time to time. With this in mind, smart golfers often look for good golf discount store locations to help them keep their passion in financial check.
Considering the expense of golf doesn’t stop when all the gear is purchased, it is particularly smart to save money where possible. After all, a golfer will likely also have to pay for greens fees, cart rentals, perhaps even a caddy and more. So, saving a little here and there without sacrificing quality is a good idea.
Stores that specialize in golf discount equipment aren’t necessarily selling used items or seconds either. There are plenty of discount locations that offer everything a golfer needs to be fully outfitted with the best or darn close to it, but they simply don’t charge as much.
The cost savings without quality sacrifice can be accomplished in a number of different ways. Some discount stores only offer their items for sale on the Internet. This provides savings in several different ways. By not having an actual “storefront,” the Internet discount store saves on overhead, which can be passed along to a customer. Also, by going the Internet route, the store opens its base for customers. Instead of only pulling shoppers from a set geographic location, these stores can have customers from all over the world – literally. The increase in potential sales can equate to an ability to purchase in bulk from manufacturers or suppliers, which means discounts for the customers. So, no matter whether it’s brand name items or lesser names, there are still a number of ways savings can be passed along. Plus, the need for a lot of employees is also largely removed.
The large discount golf outlets that have storefronts in a number of locations can pass along savings from bulk purchases. The buying power of the bigger discount chains can be incredible and is noted in other areas as well.
In the case of smaller storefront discount locations, there’s always the possibility of smart stocking and even lowered overhead due to more of an emphasis on inventory than store appearance.
There are a number of ways good golf discount shops can help their customers realize great savings without sacrificing quality. Shopping around these discount stores can help a golfer get fully equipped without breaking the bank, so it really pays to check them out.
Just make sure you buy what you truly need and pay attention to quality cues and stick with the names you’re comfortable with when possible. Many discount outlets are able to provide name brands or at least name brand quality. If you have to have the Ping clubs, save money on other items to make up for the expense. After all, some things simply can’t be sacrificed.
